Description

The special characteristics of the terroir make Clunia Syrah manifest a unique tipicity, combining intensity and subtlety.
Nose:
Red Fruit – red cherry, strawberry
Black Fruit – blackberry, blueberry
Sweet Spice – vanilla, cinnamon
Pungent Spice – black pepper, liquorice
Maturity – forest and tobacco
Palate: Dry, high acidity, medium tannin, medium body, flavour – grass, asparagus, tomato, sweet tannins – , long finish
Meat cooked with a sweet marinade or baste – e.g. barbecued ribs sweetness, meat or ‘meaty’ fish like tuna cooked with a spicy rub or crust, strongly flavoured vegetarian dishes based on dark Portabella mushrooms.
